An indescribable flavor, with hints of smoky pine, orchid, crushed apple and a rich sweet taste. Of all the black teas that China produces, Keemun is perhaps the most well-known. Makes a bright and reddish brew.
Keemun is one the best-keeping black teas. Fine specimens will keep for years if stored properly and take on a mellow winey character. (Ours is packaged in a cello bag, but please store in a tightly sealed tin for best retention of freshness and flavor.)
For the best brew, steep in water that has been brought to a rolling boil for 2-5 minutes. Takes milk well.
