English Tea Gift Basket

English Tea Gift Basket
English Tea Gift Basket

This English Tea gift basket is just perfect for anybody who is fond of all things British (and just in time to celebrate the Royal wedding)! The black painted willow basket is full of treats that would be found in London.  The Beefeater Character Teapot by James Sadler depicts the ceremonial guardian of the Tower of London, also referred to as a “Yeoman Warder". This wonderful teapot, as with all James Sadler teapots, is a collector's item. Teapot is 6 3/4" tall x 9" wide, and holds 2 cups (about 20oz). Not recommended for dishwasher or microwave use. Also included are a variety of teas: 3- 2.6oz tins of England’s Favorite Teas—English Breakfast, English Afternoon, and London Tea in collectible tea tins, 25 English Afternoon tea bags from Ahmad in a collectible Double Decker bus tin/bank, 40 Earl Gray tea bags from Yorkshire Teas,  2 individual sized packages of Campbell’s Shortbread Fingers, a fine linen hem-stitched napkin, and a souvenir apron.  Price includes filler, shrink wrap and a bow.  I will gladly add a gift enclosure with a personalized message at no additional charge. Delightful!

FYI--Beefeaters, or Yeoman Warders, have been guarding the Tower since 1485. They were responsible for looking after any prisoners at the Tower, and guarding the British crown jewels. There are 35 Yeomen Warders and one Chief Warder - all of which are retired from the British Armed Forces. They must have at least 22 years of service, hold the Long Service and Good Conduct medal, and must be former senior non-commissioned officers. Present day duties also include acting as tour guides.
